01 — Custom AI Development
AI that works the way your business does.
Custom AI assistants, chatbots, and internal tools, connected to your information and built with the guardrails a real business needs.
Useful AI, not a novelty.
Most businesses don't need a science project. They need a tool that answers the same questions accurately, drafts the first version of routine work, or gets the right information to the right person faster.
I build custom AI solutions on top of leading commercial AI models, connected to the information your business already has: your services, policies, documents, and FAQs. You get a tool that speaks in your voice, stays within the boundaries you set, and knows when to hand a conversation to a human.
One example is the L'AIRE Sales Trainer, a working prototype I built for my own business. It plays the part of a potential client so I can practice sales conversations, then gives feedback on how the call went. Client AI case studies will be added here as projects are completed.
Examples of what this looks like.
Illustrative examples, not past client case studies. Your project is scoped to your business.
Website AI assistant
Answers visitor questions about your services, pricing ranges, hours, and process, then routes serious inquiries to you.
Internal knowledge assistant
Your team asks questions in plain language and gets answers drawn from your own procedures and documents.
AI-assisted intake
Guides new inquiries through the right questions and sends you a clean summary instead of a wall of text.
Drafting assistant
Produces first drafts of proposals, follow-up emails, or descriptions in your tone, with a person always reviewing before anything goes out.
Document summaries
Turns long documents, notes, or transcripts into consistent, structured summaries.
Custom AI tools
A focused tool for a specific workflow in your business, scoped together on the discovery call.
You'll get the most from this when…
- You answer the same questions over and over
- You have useful information buried in documents nobody reads
- Your team spends hours on first drafts and summaries
- You want AI in your business but need it to be accurate and on-brand
Every project includes
- Discovery and use-case definition
- Content preparation and knowledge setup
- Custom instructions, tone, and guardrails
- Integration into your website or tools
- Testing against real questions before launch
- Handover walkthrough and documentation
AI can be wrong, so every tool I build is designed with that in mind: clear boundaries on what it will and won't answer, a path to a human, and a review step anywhere accuracy matters. AI model usage is billed by the model provider based on how much the tool is used. I'll estimate that cost with you during scoping, and the account stays in your name.
How the project runs.
Discovery
We define the use case, the users, and what a good answer looks like.
Scope & quote
A written proposal covering features, data sources, timeline, and investment.
Build & test
I build the tool and test it against real questions and edge cases with you.
Launch & tune
We launch, review early conversations, and refine its answers.
Starting at $5,000+
Custom AI projects start at the price above. Your written quote depends on what the tool needs to know, where it lives, and what it connects to.
- How much content the AI needs to learn from
- Where it lives: website, internal tool, or both
- Connections to other systems (CRM, booking, email)
- Number of distinct tasks it handles
- Testing and review requirements
Frequently asked
What AI models do you use?
I build on established commercial AI models available through their providers' APIs. The right choice depends on your use case, budget, and data requirements, and we'll decide that together during scoping.
Will the AI make things up?
Any AI model can produce incorrect answers. I reduce that risk by grounding the tool in your own information, limiting what it answers, testing it before launch, and building in hand-off to a human. For anything high-stakes, a person reviews the output.
Are there ongoing costs?
Yes. AI providers charge for usage, usually a modest monthly amount for small businesses, billed directly to your account. Hosting or other tools may also apply. You'll see estimates before you commit.
What happens to my business information?
We decide together what the tool can access, and nothing is connected without your approval. Accounts are set up in your name so you stay in control.
Can you add AI to my existing website?
Usually, yes. Most website assistants can be added to an existing site. We'll confirm on the discovery call.
Let's talk about what you're building.
